The Barack Obama administration declared war on Fox News and told people basically that they are not a news organization. Barack Obama feels news channels like MSNBC and CNN are better for the people of this country.
So Mister Obama feels stories told by CNN and MSNBC are real news? I tend to disagree and will prove it to you beyond any doubt.

For quite a while now I have been looking at the Libertarian Party, as I liked the dream of a third party coming into the main stream of politics. I have read much of what is on their web site and have been subscribed to their general mailing list for news and updates about the Libertarian Party.
What first sparked my interest in the Libertarian party was their view on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan along with their general view of Military deployment across the globe. I personally believe that the US Military should be used for defensive purposes only, and this is also what the Libertarian Party believes in. There is no need for tens of thousands of our troops to be deployed all over the globe in places like Germany, Italy, France, Saudi Arabia and other countries for their protection! Iraq was a mistake, we should not have attacked them without a clear threat from them. Afghanistan “was” a threat but the belief that we can now we can impose a democratic state on them is sheer ludicrously!
The thing that was holding me back for all out support for the Libertarian Party was their stance on legalizing narcotics. This I truly believe holds allot of people back from fully supporting the Libertarian Party. But the Libertarian Party Monday news letter that I received today sealed my NON SUPPORT for the Libertarian Party once and for all.
The Email News Letter today was entitled “Separation of Church and Signs”. When you followed the link inside to the article they referenced, it led to an article written by a Patrick Dixon, member of the city council of Lago Vista, TX.
Quoted from the article:
“Let me set some further context here. We begin council meetings with a prayer to Jesus Christ. I oppose this. I haven’t actively done anything about it because I have so many other battles to wage, but I would certainly welcome a policy change here.”
Then asks the question:
“Why would a Catholic who goes to church twice every Sunday oppose religion in city politics?”
He also answers it!
“Perhaps you are familiar with the first amendment to the US Constitution. Perhaps you are aware of the inspiration the first amendment derived from Thomas Jefferson. Perhaps you are aware that Muslims, Jews, Atheists, and others have the same rights as Christians. Perhaps the Muslim, Jew, or Atheist wonders if they will get a fair shake on a zoning variance after the entire council prays to Jesus. Perhaps you are aware of the atrocities of the Taliban.”
Well I wonder if perhaps Mr. Patrick Dixon is aware that our founding fathers also prayed and were Christians, and this country was founded on Christian beliefs.
Also how can a person proclaim his Catholic religious beliefs and then try and separated them from his political views? If you are a Christian BE A CHRISTIAN! Do not bend your political views away from who you are! To many politicians do this today in all parties. It is a two faced approach both to your politics and your Religion!
You cannot serve both GOD and MAN!
If this is what the Libertarian party is all about I want no part of them. Pro Drugs and anti God is not for me!
Needless to say I will no longer be receiving the Libertarian Party news letter.
I guess I am stuck being a Right leaning Independent.
I went out shopping yesterday with my wife and kids, all I had on my shopping list was a pair of new work boots. I was under the impression that my task at finding a good pair would be an easy task, I was dead wrong!
Winter is approaching fast in Upstate New York and I had a small list of requirement for the work boots I wanted. They had to be “real” leather, insulated, water proof, have a rugged sole, strong laces and they had to be “Made in America!”
We went to Wal Mart first and I struck out on my search, they had a terrible selection and non were made in America. Next we went to K-mart, they had a better selection and a great sale too! Buy one pair and get another pair at 50% off, but again none were made in America! Figured I would try some of the shoe stores in the Mall, nope all the work boots I came across were NOT made in America!
This is insane! Why can I not find a good pair of work boots that are made in the United States of America! I wanted to scream!
Well it was not a total loss, my four kids got some really nice Halloween costumes, of course they were all made in China!
If anyone knows someplace where I can get quality American made work boots please let me know!
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human; it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, ‘When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah’.
The teacher asked, ‘What if Jonah went to hell?’
The little girl replied, ‘Then you ask him’.
